Histories of various health clinics in the Kansas City area, including the following: (1) the Afred Benjamin Dispensary starting in 1906, (2) the Richard Cabot Club starting in 1906 as the Saint Luke's Hospital Club, (3) the Doctors Clinic starting in 1949, (4) the Helping Hand Institute starting in 1894, (5) the Kansas City Garment Industry Union-Management Health Center, Incorporated starting in 1950, (6) the Kansas City Orthoptic Clinic starting in 1946, (7) the Knight Altringer Bunting Clinic starting in 1954, (8) the Major Clinic starting in 1937 and as the Simpson-Major Sanitarium in 1921, (9) the local Planned Parenthood Association starting in 1935, (10) the Ralph Clinic starting in 1897, (11) Research Clinic starting in 1924 as the William Volker Diagnostic Clinic, (12) and the Salvation Army Men's Social Service Center starting in 1903.
