With the opening of the Kansas City Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center at Crown Center, plans are still underway in Kansas for a larger aquarium in Mission, Kansas. The Kansas aquarium was "suggested in 2007, but the site remains vacant today, and financing is uncertain."
