Description
In the early 1900s, a professional photographer in Illinois, George R. Lawrence, built a camera and kites to fly it. He was determined to take the largest photograph ever from a 'captive airship,' as he called the kite. His camera was heavier than a piano, with a bellows longer than most automobiles, and on the ground it took fifteen men to move it.
