Portrait and obituary for Charles Tichenor (1842-1915), "distinguished lawyer and one of the fathers of the boulevard system" with residence at 1449 Independence Avenue. Native of Wisconsin coming to Kansas City in 1865 as a Union Civil War veteran and lawyer with partner (and later mayor) William Warner. Later a world traveler and park and boulevard system attorney from 1890 to 1905.
