File containing a photo and obituary for James Leroy Searcy, or Roy Searcy (1919-2001), a "fixture in the local music scene since he moved to Kansas City in May 1942." Native of Mississippi coming here as a blues pianist at various lounges and nightclubs before marrying fellow musician Ida McBeth in 1976 and in 1985 "open[ing] a brand-new blues club on Main Street, the Grand Emporium."
