Vertical file with photo and caption about Erylene Bryant, "the first Negro [sic] to serve in a clerical capacity in the courthouse in recent years." Bryant began "as secretary-stenographer in the Jackson county prosecutor's office" in 1947 and resided at 2107 East 24th Terrace. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and is shown with James Kimbrell, prosecuting attorney, and James Gilmore, "Republican committeeman of the fourth ward."
