Demolition has begun at the Bannister Mall building to make way for $949 million dollar mix-use center called "The Trails." The redevelopment project at Bannister Road and Interstate 435 will include a 18,500 professional soccer stadium, youth soccer complex, hotel, and retail businesses. Supporters of the project were on hand to witness the first stage of demolition.
