Description
Article describes efforts of the John Knox Village retirement community to update its facilities in order to adapt to the changing needs of active senior citizens. Established by a Presbyterian minister, Kenneth Berg, in the early 1970s, the John Knox campus is now getting a $90 million update, including the demolition of old buildings, renovation of living units and communal areas, and the addition of a new 52-unit addition called the Courtyard Apartments. Some of the current John Knox residents describe the amenities and activities offered at the campus.
