Description
Article provides a history of the invention of basketball, believed to be created by James Naismith in 1891 at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts. There are some theories suggesting another man, named Lambert Will, created the game, despite the fact the family denies the claim. The Will family, however, does believe Will helped influence the rules of the game that are now displayed at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
