Description
A design by Michael Davis was chosen over 90 other applicants for permanent display at the new Metro Patrol police station scheduled to open in 2009. The 25-foot weather vane, titled "Salute," will "feature a two-dimensional copper police officer designed to move when the wind blows, as if the officer is saluting the surrounding community." The new station will be located at 77th and Prospect in Kansas City. Includes image.
